Serving Our Community - FCA Highlight

As a small, local business, CSS, Inc. maintains a genuine interest in the communities surrounding our South Carolina and Florida offices.

Our staff and their families are a part of the local fabric of the towns in which we are based. From local churches and schools to participating in community social groups or patronizing local businesses, by and large, the CSS, Inc. family embraces their community. As such, CSS, Inc. takes a vested interest in contributing to and working with local charities and organizations, many of which affect our own families. One such program that CSS, Inc. has supported for many years is the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

FCA is nationally-recognized, Christian outreach group that focuses on the coaches and student-athletes at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. A non-denominational group, FCA works through and with local schools to share the Gospel of Christ and minister to the students. Another goal of FCA is to help raise up future leaders, empowering student-athletes to become leaders on and off the field. Working with local school staff sponsors, the student-lead FCA clubs meet once per month to talk about their time at school, share their testimonies and experiences, worship, and fellowship with their classmates in safe and positive environment. FCA focuses on building relationships with student athletes on campus through these meetings, and service projects to meet their needs (i.e., bringing snacks and drinks to them after practice.) In collaboration with these on-campus clubs, FCA also sponsors events throughout the school year that give the students a chance to volunteer, participate in camps, and hear guest speakers, many of whom are well known coaches and athletes at the collegiate and professional levels. FCA offers a chance for many student athletes to have a strong, Christ-centered community on campus that they may not be able to have elsewhere.

Through August 2020 FCA has seen 29,429 Total Faith Decisions for Christ! CSS, Inc. is blessed to have worked with FCA for the past eight years and looks forward to continuing our relationship.
